Little Women play in Hobart this January.

LITTLE WOMEN

January 2-11
Playhouse Theatre

“Just because my dreams are different than yours doesn’t mean they’re unimportant”.

Step into a world of flickering candlelight and snowy New England evenings, where four sisters dream, quarrel, and grow in the shadow of war. Marisha Chamberlain’s stirring adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women brings the cherished novel to the stage, capturing its warmth, its heartache, and its quiet rebellion.

On the home front, while battles rage far away, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March face wars of their own. Together, they sew their joys and sorrows into the fabric of their small, tumultuous world, bound by a bond that holds firm even as life pulls them in different directions.

Since its publication in 1868, Alcott’s tale has captivated readers with its enduring themes of love, ambition, and resilience. Chamberlain’s adaptation brings fresh energy to the March sisters’ story, making their dreams and struggles feel as vivid and relevant today as they did a century ago.

Little Women features:
Stella Wesseldine as Meg March, Emily Hardie as Jo March, Eve McLean and Sophie Johnson as Beth March, Lucy Willis as Amy March, Zachary Sayer as Laurie, Eliza Mudge as Marmee, Jordan Miller as Mr Laurence/Mr March, Meredith Fisher as John Brooke, Christina Martinez as Aunt March, Abbie Cross as Hannah, Jazmin Pate and Audrey Young as Young Meg, Isabel Field and Abigail Rooke as Young Jo, Sofia Mugnaioni and Mia Tsuha-Brown as Young Beth and Charlotte Wright and Milly Groves as Young Amy.
