AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXTEND SKILLS

Individual lessons K-2
PERSONALISED LESSONS

Individual lessons further the skills Kinder to Grade Two students learn in class – to perform as a soloist at school, eisteddfods or for preliminary AMEB exams.  Maquarie University studies have shown that individual lessons give students an advantage in the classroom. The results showed that children exposed to at least a year and a half of private music lessons have an edge when it comes to detecting patterns in the world around us, with musical training making their brains better at statistical learning which is a key building block for learning language and reading.

Lessons are scheduled around class times where possible. These lessons are only available to students who are enrolled in a performance class.

LESSON OPTIONS

  • 15min Piano (Hobart Studio)
Stage School Project (Prep - Grade 2)
THE STAGE SCHOOL PROJECT

What is ExitLeft most famous for? our shows!  Well, we have been hard at work preparing some fantastic shows that your children can be part of with our 2017 Stage School project.  This fast-tracked theatre performance training project gives students the chance to expand their skills in singing, acting, choreography and stagecraft culminating in a fully staged show at the Peacock Theatre. Anyone who is participating in an ExitLeft Performance class can sign up with auditions only to determine who is playing which part.  Stage School provides an intensive 14 week boost to performance skills and gives the kids the chance to shine in an ExitLeft show!

THE BEE MUSICAL (PREP-2)

“Every busy bee in Mr Waxworth’s hive is eager to do their part – except for one.  Poor Grumble Bee doesn’t see the point of collecting pollen all day long when there are so many other things to do!  But when disaster strikes will the bees be able to work together to convince everyone of the importance of being a bee!”
