About us - producers of quality live entertainment

Formed in 1995, our organisation has an enviable record of success, including our landmark arena spectacular presentation of Les Miserables in 2000 at the Derwent Entertainment Centre and the enchanting The Sound of Music in 2002 at the Theatre Royal. These two shows alone attracted over 25,000 people, smashing Tasmanian box office records and achieving figures that we know would be the envy of many mainland producers.

At ExitLeft Productions, we have built a reputation as a quality Tasmanian company and as industry workers who strive for excellence and professionalism in everything we do. Our success has been consistent and unsurpassed.

For most organisations this would have been sucess enough. In 2007 we continued our record-breaking tradition when 20,000 people watched Debra Byrne reprise her role as Grizabella in Cats.

In addition to the shows mentioned above, ExitLeft's constant stream of box office hits has include the thought provoking Jesus Christ Superstar (1998), the hilarious 'Allo 'Allo (2001) and Are You Being Served (2003), children's entertainment Annie (2003), Snoopy!!! (2004), HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL (2009) and 13 The Musical (2010) the rock musicals RENT (2005) and Spring Awakening (2011) and many more triumphs.

To ensure that ExitLeft Productions and Tasmanian has a continuing talent base to draw from, ExitLeft offers Singing for Performers classes 6 days a week at its Murray Street Studio.

ExitLeft designer, Suzen Parnell, is the recipient of Gold Pica Awards for graphic design. Our design studio provides artwork and set/costume design for many Tasmanian Theatre companies and external clients.
